MyVault User Guide

1. Getting Started

1. Install: Search “MyVault” on the App Store, download, and launch.
2. Permissions: On first launch we may request access to photos, camera, or location. Grant what you need for the best experience.
3. Interface tour: The bottom bar hosts Assets, Analytics, Add, Discover, and Settings. Themes (Black & Gold / Daylight / Midnight) follow the option you choose under Settings.

2. Assets Tab

2.1 Add new items

1. Tap the center “+” or the Add button on the Assets page.
2. Fill in name, brand (Chinese / English / pinyin), category, purchase time, price, currency, city, channel, plus story notes, warranty, and photos.
3. Assign spaces / tags or pick from the recommended brand list, then save.

2.2 Edit / delete

Swipe left in the list or open the detail view to edit. Delete from the bottom of the detail page or via batch mode.

2.3 Global search & filters

• Tap the search icon or the top-left entry to open the global search panel.
• Filter by name, category, city, tags, brand, and time; supports Chinese, English, and pinyin initials.
• Use list filters for status (Active / Idle / Sold) and sorting (time, value, daily cost, etc.).

2.4 Batch actions

Enable “Batch” in the top-right corner to select multiple assets for deletion, tag/space updates, or scene assignments.

3. Analytics Tab

1. Review total asset count, total value, average daily holding cost, and brand/category/value breakdowns.
2. Switch historical years via the top selector.
3. Pro users unlock deeper charts (pie, line, and multi-dimension views such as city, tag, channel).
4. Warranty countdowns and recently added assets surface as cards.

4. Discover Tab

Curates release highlights, brand inspiration, and asset tips. Future templates or editorial content will also live here.

5. Settings Tab

5.1 Preferences

• Language: System / Chinese / English.
• Theme: Black & Gold / Daylight / Midnight.
• Currency unit: Choose the symbol shown alongside values (no FX conversion).
• Thousands separator: Adds commas to improve readability.
• Brand / Tag / Space toggles: Turn modules on or off; disabled fields disappear across the app.

5.2 Data controls

• Export: Generate CSV or backup files for archiving.
• Import: Bring in CSV or marketplace spreadsheets. The parser matches brands/categories and lets you fix mismatches.
• Clear data: Permanently wipes local data—use with caution.
• iCloud sync: Pro feature that syncs data to your personal iCloud account.

5.3 Security & Pro

Enable Face ID / Touch ID / passcode, and review or upgrade the Pro feature set.

6. Scenes & Spaces

1. From the asset detail or batch editor, link items to spaces (Home / Studio / Storage) and custom scenes.
2. Great for managing items across locations or grouping by use cases.
3. Maintain existing spaces/scenes from Discover or Settings.

7. Tips & Tricks

• Pull-to-search: Drag down on the main list to search instantly; pinyin initials are supported.
• Brand suggestions: As you type a brand, the library auto-completes with aliases and logos.
• Warranty reminders: Add expiry dates to get notified about maintenance or warranty events.
• E-commerce import: Upload order files to auto-parse name, price, and brand fields.
• Multi-currency display: Internally stored in CNY; changing currencies updates the symbol only.
• Thousands-format input: When enabled, price fields insert commas automatically.
• Quick backup: Export CSV/backup regularly or turn on iCloud so migrations are painless.

8. FAQ

Q: How do I migrate to a new phone?
A: Export a backup on the old device or confirm iCloud sync is on. Install MyVault on the new device and import the backup or sign in to the same iCloud.

Q: Why are certain features hidden?
A: The related toggles might be off in Settings, or the feature is part of Pro. Check Settings → Preferences and the Pro section.

Q: What if imported brands don’t match?
A: Use the import preview to edit rows before saving. Correcting spellings or aliases ensures proper linking.
