MyVault Terms of Service

1. Definitions
1.1 “We / the App / Service Provider” refers to the developer and operator of MyVault (fill before release: [Company / Individual Name]).
1.2 “User” means any natural person who downloads, installs, or uses the App.
1.3 “Content / Data” covers all asset information, photos, tags, categories, spaces, locations, maintenance logs, and preference settings recorded or imported by the user.
2. Service Description
2.1 The App is a personal real-world asset manager, supporting asset records, photo management, categories / tags, space & location management, maintenance logs, data import / export, backup & restore, and analytics.
2.2 Local storage is enabled by default. You can use the App without creating an account (as of this version).
2.3 Backup / restore workflows rely on files you pick manually. We never upload your data to third-party servers without authorization.
3. License & Use
3.1 We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on your personal devices.
3.2 Use the App only for lawful personal purposes. Do not employ it for illegal acts or any behavior that infringes others’ rights.
3.3 You shall not reverse engineer, decompile, maliciously modify, or interfere with the App’s security mechanisms.
4. User Data & Responsibilities
4.1 You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the data you enter, import, or edit.
4.2 Data loss caused by misuse, device damage, system upgrades, or missing backups is your own risk.
4.3 Analytics and insights generated by the App are for reference only and do not constitute financial or legal advice.
5. Privacy & Security
5.1 We respect privacy. Please refer to the “MyVault Privacy Policy” for the full rules.
5.2 Protect device unlock methods, Face ID / Touch ID, or passwords to prevent unauthorized access.
6. Feature Changes & Interruptions
6.1 We may optimize, adjust, or add features according to the roadmap.
6.2 For downtime caused by maintenance, device failures, or force majeure, we will try to restore service but are not liable for any direct or indirect loss.
7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
7.1 To the extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is”, without warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
7.2 We are not liable for indirect losses, data loss, or economic damages arising from the App’s use.
8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
8.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China (adjust if targeting other jurisdictions).
8.2 Disputes should first be settled through negotiation. Failing that, submit the case to a competent court where the Service Provider is located.
